Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

PetFoodRankings aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. We treat accessibility as part of the product, not an afterthought: rankings and comparison data are only useful if everyone can actually read them. If any part of this Site blocks you, we want to know and we want to fix it.

What we have built in

• Semantic HTML throughout — landmarks, a single <h1> per page, ordered heading levels, and list markup for rankings and tables. • Full keyboard navigation, including a visible focus style, a skip-to-content link on every page, and no keyboard traps. • Text alternatives on every image; product charts and score badges carry text equivalents so nothing depends on colour alone. • Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA for body text, links, buttons and score badges. • Responsive layout that reflows to a single column at 320px without horizontal scrolling. • No auto-playing media, no flashing content, and no animation required to understand a score. • A cookie banner that is reachable and operable by keyboard and screen reader, with choices announced politely.

Known limitations

We are a small independent site and some things are still imperfect. Known gaps we are working through: • Product photography is illustrative rather than showing the exact bag you will receive, so it cannot convey packaging detail. • The comparison tool stores its selection in browser local storage only, which means it is not available across devices. • Some long comparison tables rely on horizontal scrolling on very narrow screens.

If one of these — or anything we have not listed — stops you from using the Site, please tell us. We prioritise fixes by how many readers they affect.

Report a barrier

Email tungchi [at] yeah.net with the page URL, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. If you use assistive technology, telling us which one helps us reproduce the problem. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and to ship a fix or a workaround as soon as we reasonably can.
