Privacy Policy
What we collect
PetFoodRankings is a content website. We collect two categories of information:
• Analytics data: usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) collected through Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics sets a first-party cookie (_ga) in your browser to tell returning visitors apart, and transmits usage data to Google, which may process it in the United States and other countries. We use it only to understand which rankings are useful and which need work — never to identify you personally. Analytics loads only after you accept it in the cookie banner; if you decline, it never loads. • Comparison-tool data: products you select for the comparison tool are stored in your own browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Cookies and advertising partners
When you click an affiliate link and visit a retailer, that retailer may set cookies to attribute the referral. These cookies are controlled by the retailer, not by PetFoodRankings, and are governed by each retailer's own privacy policy.
If display advertising is enabled on the site, third-party vendors (including Google) may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. PetFoodRankings itself does not sell personal information.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not affect your ability to read any content on this site.
Your choices and how to opt out
Analytics: you can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing Google's official opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This works independently of our site.
Advertising: if display advertising is enabled on the site in future, you can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings, and through the industry opt-out tools at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
California residents: the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. PetFoodRankings does not sell personal information for money. To exercise any of these rights, email tungchi [at] yeah.net and we will respond within 45 days.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: analytics is loaded only after you accept it in our cookie banner — until you choose, no connection is made to Google's analytics servers and no analytics cookie is set. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser, and you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing tungchi [at] yeah.net. We honour valid requests regardless of where you live.
What we never do
We do not sell personal information. We do not require an account to read any page. We do not allow advertisers to influence rankings, scores or editorial content — see our Advertise page for the full independence policy.
Children's privacy
PetFoodRankings is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
